The Los Gatos group known as Community Against Substance Abuse celebrated 30 years of working with local schools and was honored by the town council on Sept. 16. CASA was founded in 1984 by a small group of parents who were concerned about teen drug and alcohol use. Today, CASA volunteers work in every public and private school in town. Another milestone was celebrated this month when Los Gatos Meadows resident Dolores Cairns celebrated her 106th birthday! Dolores and her family moved to Los Gatos in 1916 and lived at 88 Broadway. No wonder she’s the oldest parishioner at St. Mary’s Church.
