“Look what you’re doing to me,” Bell replied to the enthusiastic response from the crowd, “You’re making me 50s ballet flats feel all sultry and seductive.”, That fitness level certainly paid dividends in concert, Bell was amazingly energetic throughout the evening, flying through dance moves that borrowed from the disco club and the ballet studio, He also sounded strong at the microphone, handling the high notes on “Blue Savannah” and difficult passages on “Breath of Life” with apparent ease..

A: The rehearsal was amazing, It was so inspiring, Then the show itself — just to be onstage at the Fillmore and signing a song with Bob Weir, That was kind of one of those things that was retroactively on my bucket list, It wasn’t on my bucket list before, But, having done it, I feel I can retroactively put it on my bucket 50s ballet flats list and consider it accomplished, Q: It was such a treat to get to attend the rehearsal and see all of you in action behind the scenes, I was just amazed at how mellow and laid back the vibe was at the rehearsal, I’m guessing that’s not the case with every rock ‘n’ roll rehearsal..
Rogers teaches creative memoir writing through LGS Recreation and will offer a course beginning Sept. 20 that meets on Tuesdays, 9-11 a.m., at the Neighborhood Center. BLOCKBUSTER: The historic Foothill Club offers a public lecture series. Is this Saratoga’s best kept secret? If so, let it be no longer. The club’s lecture committee is justifiably proud of its lineup for the 2011-2012 season. They’ve snared archaeologist Dr. Patrick Hunt; art historian Dr. Alice Carter on Andrew Wyeth; Mark Twain expert Robert Hirst; and Ballet San Jose founder Dennis Nahat.
